SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT

SUMMARY
The project sets as its main objective improvement and support of the cross-border cooperation in the field of development of the economic potential of the region - Yambol, Edirne and Kirklareli, of the productive and commercial partnership and cooperation, providing of favourable business climate and coditions for complete realisation of the economic, labour and social resources from the both sides of the border in conformity with the common European tendences. Entrepreneurs, companies and representatives of the local institutions and non-governmental organisations being at key positions and related to the development of the cross-border region will be involved and included in the project.
The main activities include: quesioning-informative study, joint conferences and forums, joint public-consultative council for economic development and investments, bureau and virtual platform for distance business consulting and informing in Bulgarian and Turkish languages.

OBJECTIVES
At the basis of the present project lies the key objective to assist the business circles and local organisation and institutions, related to the business and regional development from the cross-border region of the Republic of Bulgaria and Republic of Turkey in short terms to overcome the specifics and the problems in the field of economy, caused by their relative isolation in the framework of their national and regional economies, to reduce the existing differences generating obstacles in the business partnership and joint invetsments, for achieving of gradual balancing of the conditions for business and life in conformity with the principles and striving of the both countries to EU accession.

Besides this common key objective the project aims at achieving of several more specific objectives too:
Reinforcement of the local cooperation in the field of the economic development through consolidation of the capacities and resources of the local aithorities and non-governmental organisations and business support organisations;
To be studied, researched and analysed the business environment in the cross-border region in order the results to be used for the aims of the strategic and current planning of the economic development in the region as well as to define its priorities;
To be established and to start functioning a new, not existing before, public voluntary institutional structure to stimulate and assist the processes of the cross-border cooperation and European integration;
To give opportunity for wide informing and expert consulting - direct and distance, of wide group of people related to the business and the economic development of the cross-border region, to realise broad exchange of knowledge, experience, traditions and good practices for business partnership between the people from the both sides of the border.
